PERSONAL ME

I grew up in the hill country of Texas and to this day find great restoration in nature. Daily, I aim to find balance of mind, body, and spirit- some days it is easier than others. I am a home cook; novice yogi; dog treat dispenser; and an avid fan of the arts, travel, and live music in small venues.

ACADEMIC ME

My undergraduate work was done up the road in Georgetown, Texas. While at Southwestern University, I combined my interest in humanity and the means by which we communicate and received my Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Sociology in 2009. In 2013, I graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas with a Master of Arts in Counseling.

PROFESSIONAL ME

I work from a collaborative, relational framework while largely incorporating: Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Meditation and Mindfulness practices, interpersonal dynamics, awareness of the mind and body connection, and a systemic lens.

My work is rooted in empirically supported methods and theory and supported by creative, heart-led techniques. I view health through a holistic lens and incorporate alternative methods such as art, guided imagery exercises and meditation, and movement. Often, I supplement my clinician work with encouragement to explore the resources our community is so rich in.
