Hi, I’m maura.

My favorite thing about being a therapist is that my job is to be curious. Curious about you - about what and who you love; about how your brain, heart, and mind work; about what makes you light up and what forces conspire to deflate you. I love to make sense of feelings and to unravel how, despite all the hard things in the world - despite structures like white supremacy, despite experiences of grief, loss, rejection and pain - you are as whole and alive as you are.

In my earlier life I was a theatre maker, sex educator, and community organizer - I bring all of these parts of myself into my work as a therapist. I received my Masters in Social Work at Smith College in Massachusetts and have worked in Oakland, Chicago, and Austin using hip hop, art, and play in my work with teens and their families for the last several years.

I HOPE WE GET TO WORK TOGETHER SOON.
