a note from us…

We are done with toxic grind culture. It’s not good for our bodies, our nervous systems, our environment, our relationships, and ultimately the clients we work with.

We are choosing to take a step back. To tend to ourselves so that we can come to our work more fully.

This frame is inspired by the deep work by those who dare to dream of a future both radical and true. The Nap Ministry

It is now an Austin Teen Therapy policy that we will hustle a little less.

What does this mean for current and prospective clients?

It means that responses to emails, calls, and texts will not be immediate. We are dropping the familiar and unchallenged rule of responding within 24 hours. Each clinician has selected a few days a week that they will dedicate time to client correspondence.

If you are in crisis, please call the local 24/7 crisis helpline: 512.472.4357. Understandably, you might want to be in contact with support sooner than we are able to provide. In that case, we recommend checking out Inclusive Therapists for more options!

Otherwise, please know your therapist will respond to you during their designated correspondence time, of which they will discuss with you the particulars.

We hope that this serves as a model, an encouragement, and a challenge to examine your relationship with urgency, communication, and work.
